*my GPU's are very limited by my CPU, even at 4.23ghz
Will i be ok over clocking the cpu with this motherboard tho ?

Your CPU is definitely bottlenecking your powerful HD4890, since with my HD4850 and E5200, I get around 13000. You should overclock your CPU more, or upgrade it to Q9550.

either This one "Nvidia" £149.99 inc VAT

Or

This one "ATI" £140.99 inc VAT

both will work ok with your PSU and your CPU

Wow, seeing that bad of a bottleneck with Intel quads does not give me high hopes for my Phenom X4....Looks like the Phenom is going to have to go to 3.6 at least.

Here's a test I did that shows how different CPU speeds affect a 4890.

http://www.overclock.net/ati/537071-...ses-stock.html

However, I started at 3.0. Overclock that if you can. You'll see the least bottleneck from 3.4-3.6 and up.

Well ive just overclocked my cpu to just under 3 GHz, well, 2.91 Ghz. I tried 3.1 Ghz but i got the blue screen The temps running at around 50 degrees C.

Ive run 3d mark 06 and got a score of 15219, so quite an improvement really, will the cpu be ok at that temp tho ?
