Something tells me you really weren't waiting for the R600. I mean you've been hating on it since day one...but anyway...if nothing else, you waiting for its debut helped you save up more money. You might as well wait for the XTX to come out. If the XT is outperforming the GTS, the XTX may outperform the GTX. That's what I'm waiting for anyway.

well, at least you're sensible. If you chose the Ultra just because you had extra $, I would be compelled to kick you in the e-balls.

I used to hate Nvidia and was routing for the R600 but it took so long to come out and the 8800GTX is still king. So I dont really hate it but Im really disappointed with it.

Yeah, those bench results were a sad showing. Overclocking was good, though.

it needs more work than its worth to bother with, and the rating he gives them is forgetting opengl and most likly using Oblivion as the be all of benchmarks, its the only way these numbers would be accurate.

I will provide proof for my thinking, when he can provide proof for his assumptions for each and everyone one of them untill them, his ranking and his opion is fud

You have no idea how I made the list. I look at all the reviews I can find and rank the cards at the settings most people play at. Whichever card wins in the most games gets ranked above the other. Just cause you think a card is better doesnt mean it is.

And using Oblivion on all the benchmarks? It wouldnt even run on half the cards on the list. And if it needs more work than its worth than why are you even posting in here?

So far the only game I've seen it get more FPS is Company Of Heroes VR says the image quality is a little better on the GTS image quality VS more FPS in Company Of Heroes, you be the judge.

k, first off, one thing that drives me nuts is you have Radeon 7000 and Radeon VE listed as well as the Radeon and the 7200.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Radeon_R100
Quote:
n 2001, after the release of the Radeon 8500, the original Radeon model (R100) was renamed as the Radeon 7200. The 7200 was first used to market the short-lived (R100) 64MB SDR card that was released in early summer 2001, while the original Radeon 32 DDR and Radeon 64 DDR VIVO labels remained unchanged until the cards were discontinued. Radeon 7200 later applied retroactively to include all R100 chips regardless of memory configuration.

[edit] RV100

Other models of the first-generation Radeon were the Radeon VE (RV100), later known as the Radeon 7000, which was a cost-reduced model. The VE lacked much of the original Radeon's 3D-hardware: one pixel-pipeline, HyperZ, and Hardware T&L were all removed, as well as a 64-bit memory bus, although it added "Hydravision" dual-monitor support and integrated a 2nd RAMDAC into the core (for "Hydravision").

The VE did not fare well against the T&L capable GeForce2 MX, although the VE had superior multi-display support and came out ahead in DirectX and 32-bit color support. The Radeon VE was later used as the follow-up for the Mobility Radeon which proved very successful in the laptop market.
this means there are sevral radeons, but the 7200 is the same as the Radeon. And the VE and 7000 share identical specs.[/QUOTE]
