It's a good card. Not the best by any means, but it's solid, especially for that resolution. I personally wouldn't upgrade your GPU any more until you also get a higher resolution monitor.

Yeah, stick with a single GTS 250. The only thing I really recommend is to OC that CPU. You'd see the biggest performance boost from that right now. Especially at that resolution.

At that res, no it's not worth it. You might get a little more FPS, but not that much.

No.

That 250 will run just about anything at that resolution.

I wouldn't even bother with SLI/Xfire on 1680x1050 --- maybe 1920x1080 or above.

Although I would say a GTX 285 could handle those resolutions just fine *shrug*

i would stay with a 250 for that res. unless you want to fold then i would get at least a 275

1 - you buy a new gpu/sli current gpu and then need to buy a new monitor to enjoy the benefits

or

2 - you buy a new monitor and then need to buy a new GPU to enjoy the benefits
