so i have one 9800 GT

and i know when these new cards come out and all that the price on another 9800GT will drop even more

my question is... do you think the price on the GTX2xx series cards will also drop when these new DX11 cards launch.

AND

would yall suggest that when the time comes i grab me a GTX200 series card OR another 9800GT which will probly run less than 100$ since another EVGA 9800GT on newegg is like 109$

trying to get my money set aside and straightened out

oh yea and right now i have put my CPU at default cuz my room has been running rly rly hot and gettin baaad temps. so if i had to stay stock on my CPU would i have any bottleneck probs?

I don't play the waiting game, it's one I can't ever seem to win. Get what you want now, or just watch for a good deal, and grab whatcha want. Waiting in the computer industry just seems silly. It's changing so fast all the time....

but see im a college student so im trying to figure out if i can save money by waiting cuz its not like i need it now. but it could be a good present down the road. cuz im sure prices on older cards will drop soon and wasnt sure if 2x 9800GT would be good or if like GTX 260 would destroy that lol

I would wait another few weeks until the price drop that will happen after ATI releases the 5xxx series cards. I'm waiting for the gtx 260 to drop (i've got a 8600gt still) so I can take that nice upgrade. depending on how much the price drop is, i'm hoping the 285 will drop down to the 200ish range (160ish after MIR if something really good happens) but yea, hold out for a couple weeks before you purchase another video card

edit: and the 9800 SLI i think would come out ahead of a single 260. at least from what I read in an older post here at ocn
