Angry My GTS250 1gb is running 35°C on idle but i still insist on a new cooler

Well ive had my GTS250 OC'd for the last 2 weeks, like 850/2000/2200 and then reinstalled my windows, i now realise that my GTS is running at 35°C instead of the 20-28°C that it used to run on idle. is there anyway to fix this problem, i even installed 2 more case fans reducing the case temp to 25°C. i alsoput the GTS fan upto 100% and it only takes off like 3 degrees

are you kidding me? 35c is LOW ...
unless you have your PC outside, I can't see how you had 20C on your GPU.
and anyway, Idle temps dont matter that much, what is your load temp?

With downclocking set right idling that into the 20's is easily possible...

As for the difference in temps between the OS switch i believe it is how its downclocking etc...something is changed

Yea it runs great, doesn't bog down with PhysX and AA all enabled, Does have lack of drivers but every now and then they actually update the driver.
Very quiet, Benchmarked Call of Juarez: Bound in blood maxed out fully and it still ran 90-120fps, it is a great budget card but if i had waited i would of spent the extra 100 dorra on a GTX 260

Last night I rewired my case to allow better airflow to MY GTS 250's, BC one card was idleing about 8-10 degrees warmer than the other.. It was driving me nuts . with some wire rearranging and actually 2 less fans , Now both cards idle within a degree of eachother as well as being about 6 degrees cooler on average than yesturday.

That's still cool considering the threshold for G92 is 105c
