Well when i bought my gtx 260 and used my 9800 as phys x it made absolutely no difference whatsoever. Not even one fps. So i don't think it is worth it. And i thought physx was only Nvidia...

That 8800GS is a great card for PhysX and folding!
If your current motherboard has two PCI-e slots, you can use that card as a dedicated PhysX card. It doesn't need to have Crossfire or SLI capabilities, just enough slots for the cards. There are two main ways to get PhysX running with an ATI card as your main GPU. The first is to use older drivers. The last drivers to allow this were the 185.85 drivers. A quick Google search should bring these up for you. The second is to use a patch that was created recently. It intercepts the code from the Nvidia card trying to turn off PhysX and tells it to allow it. However, you cannot do this in Windows Vista. You must use Windows 7 or Windows XP as they allow multiple display drivers. Vista only allows one. While it might not make much of a difference for you, it would allow the OP to use PhysX, which you cannot do with just an ATI card.
