I think my most expensive video card I ever paid for was the ATI 9800 PRO AIW $300.

Prolly going to top that one with another ATI card...

Current card: 259.99 for my 5850.

Most expensive ever: tie at $330 for a Geforce 256 DDR in 1999 and a GeForce ti4600 in 2002.

$250 from EVGA for my 8800GT on launch. I got mine before they started price gouging it. It still holds on strong 24/7 @ default clocks @ 1620 x 1200 for most the games I play @ full settings. (IE: NFS:S, COD4, OFR, 1404OD, FO3 and others. No Crysis or GTA:IV).

Will be looking to upgrade to a newer Nvidia 3xx series or a 5xxx ATI card as soon as the new 3xx Nvidia comes out.
