Default So who is going to win?

I am wanting to get a new GPU, But Is Nvidia going to be able to compete with ATI this time around? I know Nvidia can bring out a 600-700 dollar GPU, But I want to get something a little more in my price range. And right now ATI's GPU's are looking pretty sweet with there current line and price. Can anyone please let me now what Nvidia is planning on doing to combat ATI's line up?
Is it worth waitng? Or is Nvidia going to be able to compete in the midrange GPU market?
I have not been up to date on what nvidia is planning so I need some advice. And I have been a EVGA owner for over three years now, So I am in no way a ATI fan per say. I just want the best GPU bang for the buck.
Thanxs

I don't think anyone has gone to the future to know the answer but if the specs I saw on this thread are true, yes it is going to compete and probably beat ATI again in performance.

But in price not likely. Nvidia has always priced higher than ATI. But since ATI had a early start this round we can expect prices to be more competive. That's my guess.

My suggestion would be to wait for Nvidia's offering and ATI might drop prices then and you probably will get the most for your money with a 5850 then. The GT340 or 350 might be very good performing cards as well and probably won't be too expensive but those are scheduled for Q1 2010 I believe.

There's going to be a GTX340/350.

Depending on the price of the GTX360 if it's too much I may have to hold off and get one of these instead.
