Default What card to purchase?

I'm looking for a new video card. I want the card to be able to play any games available today and for the next couple years. Whats is a really good video card? I'm thinking of ordering the ATI 5000 series because of the direct x11. Any suggestions?

Probably a good call on the 5000 series. If you're looking for something that will last a few years, wait a month (or so they say) for the 5950 or 5970. Or if you want to go the nVidia route, hold off on purchasing a card until December and pick up a 3xx GTX card.

Depends on how much of a hurry your are in. If you need one right away, the 5000 series is your best bet, for sure. Personally, I am waiting for the dust to settle and I am going to purchase a new GPU after the X mas season.
I would just pick up a temporary GPU for the time being, like an 8800gtx or something simple.
