Default can 1440*900 monitor run 1280*720

hey ppl i am gonna purchase a 19inch dell monitor and iwas wondering if it can run 1280*720 resolution the max resolution of the monitor is 1440*900 the monitor model is SE198WFP

Yep. Although that is a fullscreen resolution which will not too good on a widescreen monitor.

I'm sure it might be able to display at that resolution, but keep in mind that it will not look at good as it should, as native resolution always has the best image quality.

Yes of course. Any monitor can run a lower resolution that it's max. But be warned, 1280*720 is 16:9 and 1440*900 is 16:10 so it won't look "correct".

But yes, it will work.

Yes since 1440x900 is a higher resolution. I just got a new monitor actually and the native res is 1440x900 and it does 1280x720. It also does the 4:3 resolutions like 1280x1024 or 1024x768 etc..

ok can you recoomend a good 16:9 aspect ratio monitor thats 19 inchs or less?
