The 4850 is probably the best card in that segment.
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814161297 If you can go used, look for a 4870. You might be able to find on around there.

Well.. If you can save up and can find it, a 5770 is a REALLY nice card. But if you can get a 4870, go for it! Its a great card
But if you really really nice a card, the 4850 is a great card.

In the last few days there has been some good deals on 9800 cards. If you're looking for a card that's going to last for while, try and find a used 4870, like bassplayer said.

Hmm I'm starting to lean toward the 5770. I'm wondering what brand I should get HIS or SAPPHIRE.

Sapphire! They're the EVGA for ATI cards.
5770 is going to be an amazing card after the next driver update. It is currently outperformed by the 4870, but that'll change soon.

EVGA cannot be compared to Sapphire because EVGA set me up with a new GTX260 after mine blew up in literally 5 minutes over the phone!!!! Sapphire wouldn't replace my first 4850 so i ended up having to buy a new one!

Should they have replaced your 4850, or did you mess it up?
