i got a 4890 within the last week
and i would recommend it i play all most of those games you mentions on my brothers 32inch 1080P TV and it is awesome if you don't wanna go DX11 atm then i would say 4890 and it will play all your movies and games at good frames and nice and smooth and if you don't feel like thats enough power you can always get another one down the road and still be within your budget but if you wanna go DX11 then get a 5850 $100 cheeper and like people are saying OC it to about the same power the only problems with the 58XX series atm is the availability so i would say go with one or two 4890's .... the new XFX ones look good also as a side note i have never used Nvida so i will say i am an ATI fan boy lolz but i always say "buy what YOU think you want and take everyones advice and build a educated buy around that information" that way you don't buy something some one said to get and it ends up being something you regret lols just my

Since the 5870s and 5850s are hard to find grab two of these. The only reason you would want to go nVidia right now is if you need a card right now and want the fastest single video card in stock, and don't mind paying $100 more than its worth for it. Otherwise, you have the right motherboard and PSU so you might as well go 4890 CF.
