so im at frys and these guys are morons..im looking at a geforce gt220, a geforce 9500gt and a radeon hd 4550 which is better and why?

a GDDR3 9500GT might be fastest, if only minimally over the GT220, depending on exact model. Neither is a good choice for the money they're probably charging. I've never seen a 9500GT posted anywhere @ a reasonable pricepoint.

Agreed; I highly recommend going on Newegg instead and ordering. Not only will it be easier to compare and send links to OCN for advice, but generally prices are ~$20-$40 cheaper than Fry's.

I find myself in agreement with mike *shudders*
![]() Sometimes Fry's will have a good deal instore for a GPU, and generally they are more reasonable than say Best Buy. However, you'd still probably be able to find a much better price no matter what you decide to buy, online.

LOL.... for $75, you can get a card that performs 4-5 times better at gaming.
