I do not understand why anyone would choose one or another and blindly follow it to the end. I mean sure, one will obviously have favorites being that the first card they used/best experience/etc. But I've grown up to try new things every once in awhile. People do not win when they put all their eggs in one basket. (Then there is the fact that both ATI and nVidia are out for the money, not the consumers, there truly is no hero and villain in this battle, only two "evils" duking it out for total domination).

Look at the financial statements. AMD doesn't have the money or the credit to wage any type of protracted war! Nvidia would have to literally burn bales of cash to lose a battle with ATI. AMD is getting double teamed by nvidia and intel, so it's not looking too good for them.

Be serious here...

I do not see AMD/ATI dying anytime in the future. As long as they keep producing great price/performance CPUs/GPUs, I see no reason to say that they will start making money eventually.
