for your res - go with the gtx 285 - It will mutilate x1024 resolution, and be quite comfortable with x1200. Plus you don't need to worry about scaling with crossfire.

edit: oops, I missed your last post saying you were buying the 285 - my bad

I think that there 4870X2 will be best for now. It has dual GPU support and it's slightly faster. And you only have a 650Watt PSU making it an easier choice to go with ATi. Nividia cards generally take up more power.

just installed the gtx285 and wow.. this thing really moves. it was also big as balls, i have to relocate my hard drives and floppy.
