Default Looking to buy new video card
Hey guys, I am currently using an EVGA 8600GTS card right now and I can play most of the current games with the resolution at pretty low. I have a few extra bucks to spare and I am thinking about getting a new video card. The highest resolution I play on is 1440x900 so I don't want to buy something that is too powerful. Any suggestions? Thanks!

My personal choice would be an ATI HD4830 or HD4770, these cards will probably give you the most bang for buck. If you like Nvidia a Geforce GTS250 a little pricey but will do anything at 1440*900. You could even look for a second hand one cheap, there everywhere, because of people upgrading to the ATI58** series.

GTS 250/GTX 260 if you're going nVidia; 4770 if you want an ATI card.

And is totally overkill and overpriced for his purpose,with that budget one could get a cheaper Radeon HD 5770 which has DX11 and other goodies that will give you a long time of fun with.

I got a 9800 gt in the box i don't need and wanna sell it lol.. even a 8600 gt. I can't find anyone to take these off my hands even a 19 inch monitor. Can anyone tell me why i can't post threads? Do i have to buy an account or something? I wanna be able to post my own threads or does it depend on your rep?
