Default Why does my ATI card do this and not my nvidia?

Okay, When I had my Nvidia card, I use to play games at 1024x768 on my 22inch widescreen

monitor it would cut out the side of my monitor to make it actually feel like it was 1024x768 and

not strench out like what my ATI card does. I hope you guys understand its kinda hard for me to explain.

so why aren't you setting it to your monitors native resolution?

btw its the ratio. set it to 4:3 instead of 16:9 or visa versa if you really want your black bars back....

Black bars?

It's probably better when it's stretched out because you don't have those annoying black bars (imo). If you don't like them; game at your native resolution.

It's something to do with your aspect ratio, if you wish to edit that into your OP.

Both can be adjusted via their respective control panels to scale the way you prefer (no scaling, fixed aspect ratio or full scaling or monitor (vs gpu) scaling).

I know if I play games at 4:3 i'll get the black bars back with my "nvidia card" only. Trying to figure out how to get it back with my ATI card.
