Yes, 7900GT has 24 pixel pipelines while X1900XT has 16...hmm.

Definately go with 7900GT, especially with its price.

Pipes aren't everything. ATI did a fine job at proving that. Still, the 7900GT is a very good deal, performance/price wise (the best one at the moment).

1900xt is better as a single card than the 7900GT hands down since you can put it up to XTX speeds with OCing. However you can get 2 7900GTs for about 600 which is only 50 bucks more than 1 1900XT from ATI you can find them for lower but max over is 100bucks and you get alot more preformance in alot of cased because they are 2 cards. You can get these 2 for as much as 1 1900XTX and beat the preformance the 1900XTX.

If you have SLI than get 2 7900GT's or at least 1 than another later if you dont have SLI I say go with the 1900xt it will last long as a standalone.

the x1900xt is a bit faster than a 7900gt, in turn, the 7900gt is a slight improvement over the 7800gtx.

i would say if u can pay the extra take the 1900XT but if u want to go cheaper take the 7900GT, me personally since im getting the 1900XT for 300 flat canadian instead of the 600 plus tax retail...

Memory Clock: 1500MHz (7900GT)
Memory Clock: 1650Hhz (1900XT)
Core clock 500MHz ( 7900GT )
Core clock 650MHz ( 1900XT )

and although it has more pixelpipelines ati proves that doesnt really matter to mcuh like he said... considering the XT can oc ot the XTX easily, and has 512 DDR conpared to the eVGA 256 7900GT if you can go that extra 50 or so i would get the 1900XT!

PLUS Since im getting the 1900XT half off i cant complain !! so im ATI for life!

The X1900XT will do better if you run games like FEAR and I would imagine those 48 shaders would really help in Oblivion when it comes out.
