By the time that is an issue DX10 will be out and the card will be obsolete anyways. I'd get the 7900GT.

But not everyone plays F.E.A.R or watches 3dMark06 for run or play games at 1600x1200.

Most of hte benchmark claims are seriously bogus becasue people find stuff they play or tests that make the card they like seem better than the other.

We all know nVidia doesnt have the greatest Shader processors like the Ati does, but more often than not people want framerates than eye-candy. We obviously want both but in order to get those kind of framerates you need to shell out nearly $1000 not to mention have a kick ass monitor as well.

For the value and DX10 around the corner get teh 7900GT merely for the price. If you have a hi res LCD or CRT and want all the soft-shadows and what not, get the x1900XT. It's all up to what you play.

I dont play F.E.A.R., you might not either, but look for benches compared to the games that you play. I mainly play BF2 and a 7900GT is a better choice for me than a x1900XT. It's probably more economical to get a 7900GT and use the extra $250 to watercool your system

Memory Clock: 1500MHz (7900GT)
Memory Clock: 1650Hhz (1900XT)
Core clock 500MHz ( 7900GT )
Core clock 650MHz ( 1900XT )

and although it has more pixelpipelines ati proves that doesnt really matter to mcuh like he said... considering the XT can oc ot the XTX easily, and has 512 DDR conpared to the eVGA 256 7900GT if you can go that extra 50 or so i would get the 1900XT!

PLUS Since im getting the 1900XT half off i cant complain !! so im ATI for life!
x1900xt has 1450 memory clock,Not 1650
