v mod with pencil
ive heard of just using basic pencils instead of conductive ink does this really work,dont want to kill my card.

thats how you vmod a 7600gt, is with a pencil.
try searching around through the 8600 vmod guides, here and on google, im sure youll find something for your card.

When done properly pencil overvolting works just fine.

For an 8600gts you can only increase the memory voltage with a pencil. To increase core voltage you need conductive ink. Don't try the pencil mod without a multimeter though if you don't have one..

I'd recommend this guide it's very detailed and explained well. I'm sure that the VGPU measure may not apply within the same spot. But some research. I'm planning a pencil mod on aftermarket cooling soon.

It works well just make sure you put tape over after otherwise it can get blown off
