Default Is there really NO way to VOLT-MOD 8800GTS without using a soldering iron??

I have been looking around ever since I saw how lame my 8800GTS performed on the CRYSIS beta for a way to volt-mod using software. How can that be that no one has developed a program to do it. I see in old ATITool pictures in the forums that it used to offer voltage adjustments. I understand that it is extremely dangerous to volt-mod, but it is up to the user right. So Where is the program, there has to be one that people just don't want to talk about. you can up the volts on your CPU and RAM using software, so why not you GPU? When I overclock right now I can get 648/1620/850 Max, And at load my temps are fine, low 60's. I know my card can handle more juice, I just need to find out how to do it. I don't have a steady enough of a hand to use a soldering iron, so I need to find a software program that can do it. Does anybody know where I can find such a program Thanx for any advice people

There isn't one. It would need a digital voltage regulator, which it doesn't have. For AFAIK, all ATI's do, and nvidia's don't.

For more power you can use NiBitor to edit your GPU BIOS and reduce the shader clock's speed. Most of the time the shaders on the card run out of OC headroom before the core does.

Default Have you not seen the new Rivatuner 2.04??

you can edit the Shader clock ratio to run the shader higher or lower. Head over to Link:http://forums.guru3d.com/showthread.php?t=238083. Have a look at that, you'll have some fun trying some new ratio's Pook Quote" For more power you can use NiBitor to edit your GPU BIOS and reduce the shader clock's speed. Most of the time the shaders on the card run out of OC headroom before the core does." I have tried that, wellnot the BIOS flashing part, but the lowering the shader clock part. I locked the shader to 1350 and tried to get to 675 and still no go. Can you change volts using NiBitor?? Even if you could, I am very reluctant to flash my card. I was just hoping, more like praying there is a software program to edit the volts like ATITool does for ATI cards. Thanx for the input though.

Shaders would directly affect your game performance as much as the core would. I'm not sure downclocking them significantly is worth it.
