or is the GTS mod only for GTS's?
__________________i got this card............. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814127286 ![]() i managed to OC'd via air to this (ati tool 2.7b) ![]() so i went from 5590 - 5820 with stock setup....... 3dmark 06 benches ---------------------------------------------------- i really want a 8800 , but cant afford the sli and i know this card even in sli wont compete with a single 8800 ........... i just wondering if i can find pictures for vmod with this 8600GT card i got from MSI ... if i can get into the 7500+ 3dmark06 marks.... i might SLI them thanks for help ..... and suggestions -------------------------------------------------------------------- TO SUM THIS UP....... i am not a rich man!!! i had about $100 to spend on vid card, and i went over a tad, now i am curious if i buy another and OC / and be able to VMOD them both ....... SLI them together question is this....... how much does SLI mode raise your benchmarks?? or am i wasting my time with this card??, Prolly -- but i cant afford two 8800's ![]() ----- NOTE -- SLI mode on my MB will drop both cards to 8x pcie 570 chipset ![]() ---- thanks for help and suggestions i can still return this card if need be

I know its not what you asked but I agree with The Pook. The 3850 will be cheaper than the 8600gt 's in SLI and perform far better ( from what I have seen) thus you wont have to worry about SLI or Crossfire.

ok .. i rebooted... must call newegg in morning and RMA this video card i got

is there a AMD board that has PCIe 2.0 in it... not sure if my motherboard has 2.0 --- biostar website sucks

I think a card that is PCI-E 2.0 is backwards compatible with PCI-E 1.0.

Yeah u are right. PCI-e 2.0 is compatible with PCI-e 1.0. Maybe a BIOS update needed.
