Default Pencil vmod questions for 8800GTS 320MB

I am curious about pencil vmods for my 8800gts 320mb but can’t seem to find a good how-to and I have a few questions about vmodding as well.

1. Will a pencil mod void my warranty with Evga?
2. Is it possible to undo a pencil mod if it doesn’t quite seem worth it at a later date?
3. Is there a way to check and see how many years of warranty are left on my Evga?
4. Does anyone know a good link of a how-to vmod?
5. I know there is a pencil vmod for the memory but is there one for the core too?

Thanks guys and let me know your thoughts if you have performed a mod, what it netted you as far as an OC and would you do it again.

not by my understanding. It is simply using a B2 pencil to connect 2 parts of the GPU and decrease resistance. (I think I have that right) Anyways it's not very hard from what I hear but I'm trying to figure out if it's worth it.

Check this out. Its a guide on how to vmod the G80 8800's. It gives pretty good instructions on how to do the mods. Before you attempt to do this you need good cooling, either a good a good aftermarket heatsink like the Thermalright HR-03+ or water cooling. You can undo the mod pretty easily by just erasing any pencil marks. But getting the right voltage can be a bit tricky since the resistance is very low. Hope this helps. Good Luck!

I like to use 4H pencils for most of my pencil vmods. The harder lead gives more control and a longer lasting mod. It's also harder to remove though.

I don't think it's possible to vmod the GPU on any 8800 with a pencil mod. The default resistance is not much, so even totaly coating the resistor with a thick layer of graphite will only drop the resistance marginally. I've tried in on an 8800GTS 320, and an 8800GT 512.

Also, the memory vmod won't get you much, but it is pretty easy to do. Not worth it, IMO.
