Okay, so, last noob question:

This is my first voltmod so, I'm not sure about this. I looked in the links PizzaMan sent me (thanks =) ) and I've found this in a store that ships to Europe:

http://es.mouser.com/Search/ProductD...PLfftjLePVk%3d

Is it the adequate one? Or maybe I'm taking too much frecuency, or too less... I don't know about, I just know I have to buy one of 500/1K ohm.

Is it for this job?

Sorry for the double post!

I have the VRs on my hand right now. So, just two fast question:

1.- I know I have to solder in one of the pins and on Ground. How do I know what pin I have to solder and what pin is the ground?

2.- Once the card is modded, is safe to change the voltage value when the computer is running? Will be easier than shutdown, move, check reading point, start to boot, oc...

1. Doesn't mater which pin you use for ground.

2. Changing the VR resistance with the comp running and measuring the voltage is really the most effective way to do it.

good luck sir

please post back your results.

Fffffff, thanks, but unfortunately it wasn't good enough.

The card is no damaged at all, it's running perfectly, but I'm TOTALLY USELESS when soldering. Even with the tape method, solderless, I couldn't raise voltage, readings still reporting me 1,08 on Idle and 1,11 on Load.

And I chared one nail.

---

I will go to the shop of a friend, who is a good solderer. I hope he can make my card go high.

I will post results as soon as the multimeter says something that's not "1.079"

Bye!

Did you get the points soldered at all? Can you take pics?

Well... I can, but I would have to wire up everything again...

Actually I managed to make it work on the solderless mode, the reading was 15 ohms... always... on the whole "path" of the VR, except on the last milimeter... when it goes to 0.

That's because I picked a 1000 ohm resistor instead a 500 one...? D:

this was helpful sorry to bump an old thread. I used this on my 8800GT cooled with Xigmatek battle axe I got 800/2002/1100 stable for folding and temps max at 68c(core) 55c(vrms)
