You mean 1.05?

I also heard that the volts move to 1.15 under load...is that right?

bios to 1.1V
for me 1.11V on idle, and 1.17V on load, but it might also be my non-reference 8800GT design

OK, I just did this and everything seemed to work fine. I now get a reading of 1.234v. The only problem I have is that the voltage doesn't change when I move the VR knob. No matter where I put it, it stays at 1.234v. What gives?

1. check your connections visualy
2. what VR are you using? (how many ohms)
3. did you test the VR with a multimeter?
4. are you using the reference board or a non-reference like me?
5. are you sure you turned it from the other end to the other?
6. are you sure you set it to right spots?
7. are you sure you measure the voltage from the right spot?
8. can the VR change between all values from the max to nearly 0?

OK, I think it is just an issue of bad contact on the GPU lead. I have a good ground and, if I re-tape the connection a few times and was getting it to work. I had it working for a bit between 1.18 and 1.35. It was very touchy, so I don't think it is going to work. I tried cleaning up the contact area a little more with no luck.

I am going to bring my iron home from work and solder on a spring to the red lead. That way, I can still make it solderless, but get a better connection.

well, i had the same problem at first, but then after a few tries i managed to get it to work

its not a very "professional made" looking, but its ok with me as long as it works

Probably going to be the biggest noob question ever, but whatever, I'm new at the whole voltmodding thing.

What's this sticky stuff in the VR, and how did you attach it to the wires? Again sorry for the noobyness.

I circled the part I was referring to.
