looks like either silicone or dielectric greas. I took apart a mobo front panel plug and used 2 of the females from that to push onto the VR pins.

Thanks. But wouldn't you be able to use electrical tape to attach the wires to the VR pins?

another non-reference board?!

mine is different and its not the reference board either..!

maybe try google? thats how i found the quide for my card

I think nobody has done this card still vmod.

someone help me?

I want do a vmod in my ECS 8800GT, but the PCB it is not the reference.

PCB is that:



The chip is that. It uses the RT8802A



The datasheet of the chip:

some say it's to solder the VR resistor to pin 4 and others say it is to pin 17. What is the correct pin? What his position in the chip?
