![]() It went great, and I have awesome clocks, but hellish temps. Are those temps safe? I know the gpu temp is, but what about the mosfets and memory #2 and #3? New pic with same voltage and such. Even lower clocks. I couldn't get 830mhz stable. I'm wondering if this is even worth it. ![]() I could now boil water on my vrm's. Part of the reason my temps are so high is because my arctic silver adhesive that I just applied this morning hasn't set yet. I'll probably seee some drops soon, but DAMN! I don't think a voltmod is really possible unless you're on water. These temps are ridiculous. Edit: I just rechecked the voltage, and the actual voltage is 1.35v. I think i'll just blow some graphite off and see what that does. I dropped the voltage to 1.32v, and it dropped my temperatures a lot. ![]() What is temperature sensor #3 though? Ok new temps The very max load in furmark will take me up to 79c on the core. It's safe, I know, but i'd like it to be lower.

75 degrees C is fine, 80 is a safe threshold. Also the 4850 can go to higher temps than most other gpus. You're fine. Nice job on the vmod.

Yeah, on stock voltage the idle is 32c load 44c. The core is fine, but i'm just worried about the vrm's and memory. #2 and #3. Is that safe? I have ramsinks on there too. It would probably hit like 200c if I didn't.

Why aren't you running the duorb at 100%? I run my zalman at 100% all the time. Also what is the voltage you have on the chip now?

The duorb doesn't have a fan controller. So it is running at 100%.

Maybe so, but it's still ridiculous temperature-wise. I'm using zaman RHS1's with thermal tape for the vram, and for the mosfets, vrm's, pwms, or whatever all that crap is on the right I have arctic silver adhesive that I just applied this morning. It still has yet to set though.
You all knew I was going to do it eventually... lol Same went for my 7800GS and 8800GT. I'm surprised by the temperatures though, because if you go here http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/...=190990&page=1 you'll see that people with those vf1000's are getting really good temps in comparison. I have as5 applied and everything. Maybe it just needs some time to set...
