Colorful 8600GT Voltmod
About a year or two ago, on my yearly trip to China. I bought a 七彩虹逸彩8600GT-GD3 CF黄金版. I can overclock to around 650/900. Stability was so-so. When I played CS:Source it ran fine but when playing Assassin's Creed I get artifacts and lines then the system just freezes. I haven't seen any tut's on how to volt mod this card.

__________________On my XFX, I can get 675 on the core, 1512on the Shaders and it ran anything stable.

CS:S is not GPU intensive. try lowring the memory clock, they don't even have heatsinks. Maybe 900 is killing them.
__________________Try to use ATITools to overclock it, fist try just the GPU and then only the memory. This should allow you to recognize the problem.
