Default 9800gt volt mod

i have an xfx 9800gt (g92 card). i was wondering if the mods from a 9800gtx, or 8800gt (g92) card would work also??

id look to see if it shares the 8800gt pcb. if you could post a pic of the back of your card, it would help alot

nope i wouldn't try it, there is a high chance of bricking your card if you use a 8800GT bios on a 9800GT card

even though they are the same Specs, they would be using a Different BIOS, because they support some newer technology's, like Quad SLI, Nvidia CUDA technology, and a newer version of Open GL

ok i took the card out. i figured out what was holding it back. the slot cover above it was pinching it cause i didnt have that one installed right. anyways its heavy but its a breeze to remove now !!! i didnt want to take the hsf off so i hope back shots are alright. please dont quote me on the g92 basis of the card. its what a bunch of people on newegg said it was based off of... and i should know better to listen to what most people say on the egg.

i know this one is OT but i remember someone saying you cant put 2 120mm fans on an acceleroS1 R2
