ye i flashed my dual slot sapphire to the sapphire toxic bios, and i got that pencil mod working its running @ 790/1030 sucks i cant get 800mhz though

ahhh i ****ed it up! i tried to be clever and changed the bios values to 1.263, to try and got a highier voltage didn;t work then i saved over my toxic bios, i downloaded the same one and changed the values now im getting arts at stock, gutted , and i used this to pencil mod. http://img507.imageshack.us/img507/5...8zb5pe9yh0.jpg

Pencil mods are risky as its too difficult to control the amount of voltage supplied...you can trace the resistor you mod'd to a solder point and use a VR for much more precise control.

Mod points are highlighted in the picture...100k VR for GPUv...you will have to measure the resistance of pin6 for vMEM and let mem know the value to determine VR size.

CL3P20 your mod might be working but its rather difficult...When i had my 4850 a month ago i did the hardmod in my dual slot,in a spot similar to the reference card...I dont have agood pic but i asure u this messy mod worked!!!I did 830core inly though cos higher than 1,34 and the card would crash...
