2) What does your name stand for (anything?)

For GPU capping..just identify the main power phases for the GPUv and MEMv...in this case its pretty easy, as each inductor [the small square coils] filters each one of the 3x GPUv phases and 1x for the MEMv phase. Typically power phases, will have the following order:

power input from pci-e -> input capacitor ->mosfets -> inductors -> output capacitors -> SMD capacitors -> GPU/MEM

...adding cap's to the backside of existing capacitors on the output stages [either piggy-backing the large capacitors or the small SMD type will work and have the same effect] will have the greatest effect on 'buffering' voltages.

*Adding additional capacitors can help an OC'd GPU in many ways, or non at all depending on overall voltage level and existing power circuit design. On my 4850's I have noticed only much better stability and less droop in the voltage ...as they have pretty stout regulation to begin with... On my 8800GS's adding cap's increased stable daily clock speeds by more than 50mhz, and stopped the annoying "whine" that the mosfets made at high clocks speeds. I was also able to break my previous best of 1028mhz core speed..and am working on 1050mhz core validation and bench runs.

2. As for meh name.. its pronounced "clepto" ..and was my tag, when I was into graff, many years ago. I still sign all my art pieces as CL3P20..but only "draw" on my own things now .

I can hit over 900 no problem..but cannot complete benchies occasionally as the GPU's are not stable, and heat build-up craps out the shaders very quickly under load... then arties, lockup crash. Either you have early core rev's that are much better Q than mine [totally possible especially with the 4850 series] or I just have crappy core rev's as mine are idle at 41c..loading at 45c on water..@ 1.47v..even going to 1.52v [edge of OCP] I still cannot hold them stable for more than a few minutes under load at 900mhz or over.
