Default BFG GF 6600 OC 512mb volt mod

hey guys, getting back into the computer thing.

current card is titled above. voltmod searching for the past 5 days has turned up NOTHING. v-mod, voltage modification, gpu-volt, v mod, nothing turned up a good result

the few results that did show up happened to be mis-named or a different interface

my card is a PCI-Express interface. stock core is 450, stock memory is 532 (2x266)

Right now Im sitting on 500/600, furmark on burning mode and 1280 fullscreen nets me a max 71C on the stock cooler, so I know Ill be ready when I do heatsink change and add heatsinks to the memory.

Heres some pictures of my card. the one in the picture is a duplicate and a damaged one at that, so disregard the capacitor that is missing behind the TV out connection and above the ram

I also took the time to write down all the letters/numbers on the chips I thought would help you guys help me figure this out.

I tried to make it clear, but my cellphone pictures dont help very much

here is a pink to my video card album on my photobucket

http://s244.photobucket.com/albums/g...eForce%206600/

listing of the letters and what the chips say on them

A: f PG2AB
___74ACTOB

B: <insert fancy "A" symbol> CAT75496
__________________________A48BP3

C: AMS1117
___3.3 0603

D: Infineon brand ram

E&F: APM 3055L
______WHBE7

G: RT9173A
___PL58A30K

H: KA78
___05R
____Gor <------"or" could be something else, cant make it out clearly

I: 151RA

J: weird symbol, seems like "A" with circle around it
___then D412
________BX681U

K&L : weird "A" symbol then D456
______________________BT5L2S

M: ATMEL6D4
___25F512AN
___SU22

***I think M is the BIOS, judging from the atmel in the typing on the chip

N: APM3055L
_____PHBHR

G above is the chip with 5 pins on one side and I believe the location for the voltmod to take place

For the most part, I want to add power to the memory, as I dont trust myself or see the benifits of adjusting the timings

I believe there is NO voltage table in the BIOS, as Nibuto and rivatuner cannot see any voltage.\

if there is infact a voltage in the BIOS, I dont have a floppy disc, so I would need to figure out how to flash via a thumbdrive

thanks guys!!

-Matt

PS lemme know if you need anymore information. I tried to be thorough, and I will continue trying to track down this mod. Like I said, I either found it and no pictures or info was available " so and so did the mod and got X mhz....", the title was misleading and was actually an AGP car or the GT version, or simply doesnt exist

well, heres the pictures. 40 views and no respondse lol, I cant be the only one who wants to figure this out

So here they are

hopefully this will allow some more help.

without a voltmod I am currently running 551/661 (stock 450/532)

Im pushing more little tiny bit by tiny bit, but randomly it gets unstable beyond these settings

stock cooling and a new heatsink/fan and ram heatsinks are planned. currently runs 76C on load with this OC

I need to buy a multimeter, I currently do not have one.

unless someone has a freebie laying around an I pay shipping, Ill get one sometime next week for sure

thanks guys

-Matt

Hmm 68 views and no responses. I dont much feel like experimenting with my card to find this out, the computer wont boot on the onboard GPU anymore and I dont have a spare card. If I experiment and accidentally mess something up, I wont have a functioning computer, and I need one.

To the right of the ic marked "B" there is a choke. Stick the in a pc and measure the voltage across it. I think that is the ic for vgpu.

The chip you marked "G" on the other hand AFAIK is for vddr, so vmem mod.

What 6600 do you have?

bump for a unique volt mod. 7900gt is out of the picture, and going back to my trusty 6600. anyone have any input? I dont have the balls to test for voltage increases on my own, but with instructions I have no problem doing the mod
