Volt mod 8500GT - Overclock.net

Anyone know how I can volt mod my 8500GT? I want to use it for folding but currently it takes longer than my CPU to fold one wu, so i was hoping if i volt mod it i can overclock it better

I dont have any pictures at the moment, camera batteries are charging. but it looks just like this one, except it has a different heat sink on it

I don't know if the boards are the same but, i had an XFX 8500GT that reached 1GHz core. They're really good overclockers for some reason. I'll see if I can find a guide.

Pretty much any GPU with 'hardly any shaders' will clock to the moon on air..shaders are the equivalent of cache memory in a CPU...the more internal cache..the more internal heat build-up and voltage you have to deal with. Since 'cache' likes to keep nice and cool...OC'ing a lot of cache, will quickly develop heat and a temp ceiling that will create instabilities.
