I've only done hard mods by soldering according to posted instructions with images.
But my 8800GT is nonreference and has a different controller than most. 1) Anyone have an idea where I should solder a VR for vGPU? 2) And what resistance I should measure to determine which VR to use? 3) And how to actually determine which VR to use from said measured resistance? ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() RT8802A PQV Data sheet. 2/3/4/5 phase PWM. Since the chip has 10 pins on each side, how do you know which side corresponds to which on the data sheet? Aside from the lettering stamped on top, I don't see any distinguishing characteristics to tell you the orientation of the chip.

I browsed his thread before and missed the whole PNY section.
You made me look again and there is info there! Thanks DR. Looks like I have to find out how to get rid of the OVP and try to OV the memory still......
