Default Powercolour 4770 PCS Volt Mod Help

I need help Volt modding a ATI Powercolour 4770 PCS.

Info that might be useful:
I dont think the Asus Top bios will work as i dont think this card has voltage regulators.
It has a superior cooler and keeps the core down to 48'c (furmark) at 900MHz.
This card has a Red PCB
I can and will happily provide photo's/scans of the back and front of the card.
I dont have great soldering kit so if a pencil mod is do able, it would be MUCH easier.

Thanks

I dont have great soldering kit so if a pencil mod is do able, it would be MUCH easier. Oh. I'll try.

Here:

You may have taken a pic of the suspected memory controller already, in which case you don't need to take another, just tell me.

Also, I'm not 100% sure I'll come up with a mod, but I'll try

Edit: The chip with VHCT on it is *not* a voltage controller, afaik.

Ok. i have taken photo's. Do you need to be able to read whats on top of the chip?
Also thank you very much for just looking at the pictures.

Yeah, I need to be able to read it. You can also just write out the codes. If the vGPU chip is something like "uP6201" the datasheets are nigh impossible to find, but I found a mention of it in an xbitlabs review...That should be enough for a vmod.

Here you are.

Not sure if it would help but i have a good multimeter that i can use for testing.

mod is from the UP- IC chip...on backside near the VGA connections... You need to measure the resistance from pin13-> ground for me to determine VR size. Then we can trace the mod point to a more suitable location for soldering.

pin is labeled in the picture FB = pin13

instead of soldering (as i dont have much in the way of soldering kit) would a pencil mod be possible?

Just measured that, 5.54k

Edit: For vMem, can you measure resistance from pin 7 on the uP6106 IC to ground?

Edit 2: I'm pretty sure that CL3P20 is right about the vGPU IC, that was my original assumption, but can you check to be sure? Just because the models that look exactly like it (and function similarly, not to mention actually have datasheets on the maker's site) have completely different pinouts (uP6203/2, etc.)

I figured that out from an XBit post, but didn't feel like trusting one source. Link's borked, btw

Okay, that's a fairly common vMem chip. Should have something together shortly, or more DMM-ing to ask.

I'll check. Sounds like you'll need a 10K pot.
