Currently I have it at 700/950/1800 with 1.1V BIOS Vmod. I want to rock this card or brick it! Qimonda ram I hear is unstable at 1000+, is there any truth to this or is there a work around with raising or lowering the Vmem?
Unfortunately, you have that v mem. The samsung chips do well above 1000.

Yes that is trues...the Quimonda IC's can do over 1000mhz, but most have found that it came with lowering the stock voltage to ~1.95v... As mentioned, Samsing IC's will do beyond 1200mhz....

i jsut volt modded this same card, not sure if it actually worked properly though, it doesn't read high voltages so I dont know what the deal is, maybe I need an alternate VPGU reader, what type of resistor are you ising

the above link from xs is the right one for the pny 8800gt. Just be sure, very sure, I mean like super sure you have all the necessary info before attempting this. also be sure to check all your connecting point before soldering, find out the resistance so you can make sure its the right setting before pressing the power button.

I highly recommend asking cl3p20 questions and double checking before proceeding.

Unless of corse you are like me and just need a nice pny 8800gt paperweight and a bad a$$ GTX is your case and want an excuse to spend th $

check out my post in the general section about this same card, it helps cover the memory too, i'll post the amounts of resistance I used to get the appropriate voltages a little later when I get a chance
