Default Hard Drive problem...

Ok so I take my pc apart and blow it out with compressed air to keep the airflow maximized, i try to do this frequently only this time when i go to start back up windows keeps crashing and rebooting. I checked all my connections they are good. However, I noticed that my WD 80gb sata HD doesnt have a jumper on it, did i blow it off by accident or is it possible i never had one on it?
