formatting HD, i now nothing about RAID

i'm about to format my friends rig, but he has 2 raptor in Raid. do i need to do anything before formating, or can i go like i do it normally with my rig?

You should be able to just go ahead and format then install the RAID drivers again at the windows installation with F6 as normal. You BIOS should already be setup for the RAID array and I'm pretty sure it won't mess anything up.

Yes you need to install the RAID drivers that are supplied with the motherboard. You install them during the OS setup. You press f6 when it tells you to.
