Default Trying to identify the hard drive in my new external drive

I recently bought a Fantom Drive TFDU16072 160GB 7200 RPM 2MB Cache USB 2.0 External Hard Drive

The only information I can see about the hd in everest home is:
MDT-MMANM5498525

Which doesn't tell me anything (theres no results in Google)

How can I find out the brand of the HD w/o opening it?

I think fantom uses its own drives doesn't it? Thought I read that somewhere.

Found this in a newegg review, as such take it with a grain of salt.

I tried to recover the data. It's clearly a Maxtor brand disk (part 6Y160P4) but they won't stand behind it. Fantom rebadged it. Fantom would only replace the unit. If you're going to spend your money, spring for a real brand name.

Yeah I was going to suggest not going Fantom, but you already bought it I guess.
