I was just wondering if it is okay to run one of my hard drives upside down, and will it damage the hard drive? I'm only trying to clean up the cables and i Sata cable won't reach right side up. Thanks

Don't get over excited though, you could wreck your drive if you move it while it's on.

HP runs them sideways, and laptops run them upside down when they are in normal position. Otherwise they are every which way (do note that 2.5" HDDs are more robust because they need to be for laptops).

Yessir shouldn't be a problem. My emachines has the HD mounted vertically.
