Default install sata harddrive

hey guys ive kinda gone and brought a upgrade and i dont really know what to do with it, so im here again asking my good old buddies how to install a sata drive, i cant be botherd to take windows off my IDE160gb drive so ive gone and brought a sata 250gb as extra storage but as for installing it i do not have a clue how to. what wires do i need, just the sata cable? or do i also need to power it? once i have got through this stage i will have more questions, but i'll take it one step at a time thanks guys

With SATA drives you can use either a standard Molex connector or a special SATA power connector. However, don't use both at the same time or bad things will happen.

no, the one to the MB is for accessing the drive, there's another one you need to have power, that attaches to a cable from your PSU
