Default RAID 0 Suggestion and Question

I want to do a RAID 0 setup with 2 or 3 hard drives. I know all about the Raptors but dont want to go that high up price wise. I would like to know more of what make and model would be the best choices I checked the reviews of one of the Maxtor DimondMax 10 3XRAID 0 set up and it seemed quite good but what about WD or Hitachi compared to the Maxtor? Also could I still use Windows XP and Vista in the RAID 0 set up like I have it on my Single Drive?

I would recommend looking at the Seagate 7200.10 series drives.

Those are quite significantly fast and are a good combination to use with RAID 0.

I recently got 2 320GB 7200.10 drives and put them in RAID 0 and they are amazing.

I was just checking out some SeaGate 400GB 7200.10 hard drives and the adverage latency is 12.6 where the maxtors and wd's are <8.5 what one is faster in bench marks? And has anyone used DimandMax 10 in RAID 0 and also SeaGate in RAID 0 what one did better? Also what should I do first get RAID 0 set up with 2 or 3 drives or get a 8800GTS 320mb version?

Latency is only one aspect of HDs. The data density of the 7200.10 is greater so it provide much better speeds in sequential I/O.

To answer most of your questions: (1) a fridge cannot cool a PC (2) 64-bit OS for over 3.4GB (3) If a PCIe card fits, it should work (4) Resolution, not screen size (5) If you have a question, it is not news (6) Report, not respond to Spam (7) Single-Rail/Non-Modular PSUs are not always better than Multi-Rail/Modular (8) Sequential does not matter as much as random for OS drives
