How is the Jmicron implemented on the motherboard? Is it on the PCI bus? If so, Intel would definitely be better.

I went for the Intel RAID, using the most up to date drivers.
The Jmicron one is an IDE RAID thing, so that would be no use.

Intel RAID, and 128k stripe. The Intel controller only lets you set 1 of 2 choices for stripe size.

I didnt D/L the intel driver form ASUS...so I dont know.. As for the drivers for the RAID, yes you can use a jump drive, just make sure its recognizable in BIOS as a HDD. Then format it so its bootable and add the drivers to it.

If you get there, the drive works fine and you can restart and set everything back to normal to install windows.
