Question nvRaid question

I just tried to install nvRaid based on the instructions on this site. But after I installed both drivers and hit enter, windows does it thing and then my computer shuts down. This is at stock clock. Any ideas? Thanks.

Are you using the latest drivers from Nvidia's site? I can guide you on how to obtain them if you want.

Also how are you loading the drivers on? Floppy? CD? My guess is that the driver is corrupted.

I'm using these drivers, I'm not sure if they are the latest. And I'm loading them on a floppy. Thanks for the reply.

Nforce4 chipset. My setup is

AMD X2 4600 (@2.83ghz)
ECS KN1 Lite
2x1GB Mushkin DDR400 (@215mhz)
2x160GB Seagate SATA HDD
Sapphire X1950GT (654/661)
Ultra Xconnect 500w PSU

I'm using this setup for a while now (except for the HDDs), they are new. So I know the rest of the system are stable, and I even tried to back down the oc to stock clock, it still shuts down during Win XP install. I think I'm going to try Win2k tonight, but that's about it, I'm out of ideas.

try downloading these drivers: http://www.nvidia.com/object/nforce_nf4_win2k_6.86.html

That package contains the correct RAID driver.

Extract the exe using WinRAR, then click on IDE in its folder, then the folder for your OS, and you'll have raid drivers there. Try using those.

Note: make sure you have put the hard drives in the correct SATA ports on your motherboard, the ones controlled by the NVRAID controller.
