mines the fastest plus i have alot of windows items disabled but i would suggest them to any one one mistake can make windows unstable but here are some good helping tips
__________________TIP 1 on desk top right click go to properties go to apperence and where it says windows and buttons click windows classic. THIS is shown to give 5-10% improvement in performance tip 2 when windows starts and when you open my computer folder or any program that requires windows, it searches for network files and printer which takes a little time on start up (this will not disable printers but if you are on a network dont) 1 open my computers 2 click on contolr panel and select folder options 3 uncheck bos that read automatically search for network folders and printer also at the bottom check the box that says do not catch thumbnails . this is know to add 6-9% on start up and 3-5 percent on performance tip 3 this is for more of you hard back this is pointless if you got a 80 gig or smaller . right click on recylingbin go to properties and where it says maximum size of recycling been bring down to what ever you want. this reserves space on your hard drive factore keeps it at 10% and if you got a 250gig hard drive your losing 25 gigs. bu by lowering this if you have a file bigger then what you have selected for your recyclingbin to hold itll just ask you to delete it straight from the drive instead of puttin in recycling been. tip 4 this is a good one windows keeps record of all the files on your hard disk so that it can loacte a particular file faster when you performe a search through task bar. the down side is scense the computer has to index all of your files it slows down normal file commands like open, close, ect. if you dont use this feture (search for file or folder) get rid of this to get a whopping 12-22% of you performance back 1 go to control panel 2 go to administative tools 3 open services 4 no find where it says indexing services right click go to properties 5 no where it ts open under general where it says start up type change to disable and your done if i helped you any please hit me up with some rep points...... and run bench mark before this and after pc amrk and should see a good 100-200 point gain under cpu
