Default Floppy problem

Good morning guys. Ive got a floppy problem on both of my pcs. They are both detected, lit up, and in device manager they are said to be working properly. However, when I insert a disk and try to access it, it says please insert disk. I know its gotta be something simple, anyone?

Try adjusting the open gimbles, sometimes that does the trick. Its the thing next to the doohickey...

i got it guys, did forum search and found out my cable was reversed, thanks
