Exclamation raid 0 help

right now i am following this basic guide.http://support.microsoft.com/kb/314343. but i am confused at the dynamic part, if i change both of drives to a dynamic partition will windows still be intact.

It says yes, but only for Windows 2000 Pro and Windows XP Pro
To revert back to Basic disks they need reformatting.

If your after RAID I wouldnt bother doing it this way, best way is to set up raid in the bios. This way, the BIOS controls it, and windows see's it as one large disk. Much simpler IMHO.

It sounds to me like you are trying to do raid on a existing windows installation, that is impossible.

You must wipe both drives completely, and as far as I know XP requires a floppy for raid.

Just d/l nLite & integrate the RAID drivers into your windows install cd.

You will have to format however theres no other way to setup RAID w/o doing that.
