I did a cable management on my case the last wednesday..
And when I turned on my PC... I tried to make some defragmentation on both of my Hard Drive... I noticed while defragmentating my IDE HDD... everything was acting slow and laggie... also my mouse... I thought it was normal... so tried to open a video or a mp3, and both were lagging... Only happends with the files on my IDE Hard Drive... What can be happening? I have lots of stuff inside... Even if I copy a file it says "99 minutes remaining"... Help me guys... I dont want to loose all my files... ![]() Actually it have free 17.5GB from 60GB

CHeck all connections again. Take your 60 gb IDE HD out and make sure it contains your backed up data. Then reformat the seagate. BTW I returned my segate cuz it was knocking loud. That is a sign the HD is going out. At any rate instal your raid drivers set up array and instal your OS. After the instal reconnect your IDE drive. If this does not help then most likely your drive has errors run chkdsk to scan for errors or use a boot cd window enviroment like erd commander to diagnose your HD. I hope this helps good luck.

If your drive is truly dying, I wouldn't bother with running chkdsk or any testing software, as such testing is usually hard on a drive, it may prematurely kill it.
