I own a 500GB one, they are nice but they arn't as fast as the seagate 7200.10/11s.
I prefer WD over seagate though.

Well, I've had 2 Seagate Barracuda 7200.11 32mb CACHE HD's, and had to RMA both.

SE16s are much more reliable than the 7200.11s.. I've heard of alot of people having issues with 7200.11s. Western digital makes the most reliable hard drives in the business IMHO.

I'm waiting for this drive. All the tests I've seen point to this being a great drive:

The single platter 320 seemed to have slower access times than the tests on the 640 have shown but similar transfer speeds (transfer speeds out performing raptors).Whether this is because the 320s come with AAM (Automatic Acoustic Management) turned on and the 640s dont is being questioned, but I havent seen a definitive answer to that yet. These 2 WD drives are basically competing with Samsung's 334GB per platter drives. At the moment that is basically the Samsung F1 1TB HD103UJ, and the new F1 320GB HD322HJ. German review of the Samsung 320: http://www.hartware.de/review_791_1.html Hope some of that helps.
