Just want to mention if you read the seagate packaging instructions for a rma they say that using peanuts will void the warranty.

I guess they dont stick to this very well cause the failed drive i shipped them was in peanuts and they replaced it. They seem to think the only acceptable way to ship the HD back is with foam. I dont really agree with it but, figured id let you know.

Better than having it break in transport... Then you have to deal with the buyer.. Therefor, I believe that it is well worth the extra money. I also think that it shows the buyer that you are a serious seller and care about the product you are shipping to them.

When I shipped my drives, they wanted tons more money for bubble wrap, and the drives weren't even worth that much. I just put them in the smallest box they had because they were going to close and I had no other choice. =\
